Unity’s children’s ministry uses a Living Curriculum philosophy which affirms that the curriculum – that which is to be learned or known – is not within any guide but rather lives in the children themselves. Myrtle Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, was the inspiration for this foundational belief as she shared her view about the “soul’s unfoldment.” She believed that our mission is not to “entertain the children, but to draw them out.” Story-telling and hands-on experiences are used to draw forth the inherent goodness that resides within each child.
